I know, I should have been satisfied with road trips. But I’ve been patient for over two years now. So I did it; I booked an overseas trip. With Covid looming and people living in the world of fake news, fear has risen off the charts these days.
I decided I needed to start with a safe destination. A spring sojourn in Europe felt like a safe bet.
Today, we have open warfare in Ukraine with Russian verbal threats toward Finland and Sweden! Where will the madness stop? More importantly, where will it flow before stopping? My dreams are filled with sirens and running from danger. My stomach sinks as I listen to news reports.
As long as flights are still running, I’m still planning to step out. Plague, pestilence and warfare. What next? Will I start biting my nails?
