Bronx Spring

Come Spring, I start thinking of long weekend trips. Whether it be some place new or some place I’ve visited a thousand times, the warmer weather (with its easier travel and less layers of clothing and more comfortable outdoors) makes me feel light and limber and ready to explore.

If you are traveling in or around New York City, I recommend spending a day in the Bronx. Consider a morning at the Bronx Zoo and then the afternoon at the Bronx Botanical GardensThese top caliber destinations are two of New York City’s finest. And they are good reasons to visit the Bronx, one of the City’s boroughs.

The Yankee Stadium may be a good stop if the Boston Red Sox are in town!

Here are some photos from an April visit to the Botanical Garden.
