Road Songs

I like to travel with a song.

Reaching my memory afar, I can hear them…Deep in the Heart of Texas, I Left my Heart in San Francisco, Side By Side, Chicago, Buttons and Bows, Bali Hai, Easter Parade, Georgia on My Mind, Waltzing Matilda, England Swings, Marrakesh Express,  The Last Time I Saw Paris…

I fondly remember singing my heart out as I drove to my next destination.

Sometimes, I know the song I want, but I don’t know the words yet. I recall learning all the verses to The Arkansas Traveler for driving around Arkansas. And learning all the words to Oki from Muskogee for a road trip around Oklahoma. With all the preparation for a trip, why not get your preferred song prepared too?

I am not traveling in this Pandemic.  Fortunately, some travel songs are just right for a winter evening at home.  Check these out!
